Bookmark or Share- HX Stomp XL Distortion & Overdrive Pedal Models, Are ... - The Gear PageEven though the list of effect's looks impressive, I don't expect the fuzz type pedals to beat what I'm using, Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe, Chase Tone 108c, and a couple of Sunface's, but more curious about the pedals I usually use for boosts, TS-9, SD-1, Timmy, Rangemaster, and if any good I would opt to using them and saving room on the board.

So it's "relegated" to a cheap clone that's actually really great, and a buncha boutique clones and tweaks from builders that are not well known. Everyone else clones/tweaks the original Super Fuzz, Octavia, and Tone Machine.

Quickly got the Super Lead model dialed in, turned on my most unruly Si Fuzz Face, and it sounded incredible - warm compression in the low end, squishy detailed mids with the square wave in the backseat not overwhelming the tone, and spitty top end - not harsh or raspy. Long winded, sorry.
- Your Favorite ZVEX Pedal - The Gear PageI currently own a Fuzz Factory and a Seek Wah. I formerly owned a Fuzz Probe. Zvex pedals are a ton of fun; you have to do some knob twisting, though, to understand how they work and just when you think you've got it figured out, you will realize that you don't! I think that the Fuzz Factory is a fantastic pedal.
- Which Basic Audio Fuzz? - The Gear PageFuzz Mutant is a fantastic intermodulating FUZZ that gates and has both transistor and diode clipping to toggle between. Fuzzmondo has tight low-mid girth and reminds me of Smash Mouth's "Walking On the Sun" and "Greenbaum's "Spirit In the Sky".
